Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August and commemorates the 16th Anniversary. Peridot’s color is idiochromatic meaning that it can only be found in shades of green, ranging from yellowish green to pure green to brownish green shades. The gem’s color tends to be finest in stones weighing 10 carats and above. It is rather clear, lustrous and transparent in appearance.
Our luxurious necklace is made of 18K white gold and features a gorgeous green pear-shaped peridot from Burma that weighs 35.10 carats. Some of the finest and largest peridot have been sourced from Burma, the rarity of peridot that have been mined from Burma has also had an effect on the collectability of these prized gemstones. Surrounding the peridot center stone is a halo of round bright cut pave diamonds set on the mounting and run up the bale, with a total diamond weight of 0.6 carats. Resting at the bottom of the pendant is a beautiful 0.18 carat pear shaped diamond pointed downwards, creating a visually pleasing balance to the upward pointed tip of the peridot.
